Synopsis[]
Days after the events at the End of War Commemoration Park, things begin to settle down. Though tension is still high, everyone goes back to Christina's building and continue their daily lives. There, Tetsuro meets a man named Colt.
Summary[]
Mathilda and Imelda inform the Beruhren board that Hugh wishes to speak with them. He wishes to redeem himself for his failed negotiation with Juzo, and informs them they managed to eliminate Tokisada. Hugh explains that they made Tokisada a hero, but last week another member of Tindalos threatened to reveal the truth about the incident 10 years ago and Tokisada killed him. Tokisada then asked them help him cover the murder, so they controlled Hayden Gondry and made him kill other Tindalos members. In the end they killed Tokisada as the board had requested. The board likes what they hear, but comment they didn't allow the use of Gun Slave Unit and involvement of EMS director. They decide to give him one chance to redeem himself.
Outside, Hugh meets Pepper and Seven, and complains they did poor job. Pepper blames the harmony device, but Hugh explains its only a replica of the original. Before leaving, he tells them to stay quiet until he has new jobs for them. But Pepper has no such plans as she is now interested in Juzo. Inside his car, Hugh complains how people like Pepper doesn't realizes how dangerous the board is and states there are even rumors that they had started the last great war.
Tetsuro and Mary go into Juzo's office to inform him the hotpot is almost ready and he can come and eat with them. Tetsuro explains that he still can't repay Juzo and would like to work with him and help him, but Juzo doesn't want as it will just make him bigger target. Mary starts to complain of how stubborn he is and eventually Juzo softens up a bit accepting to eat with them. Before leaving, Mary tells Juzo that she will start living there too, leaving Juzo shocked.
Mary performs maintenance check on Tetsuro, explaining that they will need to do this for the rest of his life. He asks her why she became an extension engineer, but as she ignores him, he asks her again. She explains that she is looking for someone, who set to the war as military engineer. He may be dead by now, but she believed if she do this job, she may meet him one day. Christina calls Mary to come outside, as an extend boy had collapsed. Seeing the man, Mary recognizes him as Colte and they bring him down. She explains how she met him and that he is under-age illegal immigrant working to support his family. Colte wakes up and as thanks gives Mary a old model hand which Mary comments its really good quality. Colte explains he got a new job that will pay well and he will be able to pay his medical fees. His mother became tester for Beruhren, wanting to get better and work too, but her extension wasn't compatible with her sub-brain and caused nerve damage, so he is trying to get money for her surgery. Before leaving, he takes an item and Tetsuro notices.
Outside, Tetsuro tells Colte if he returns what he stole, he won't tell Mary. Colte attempts to jump away, and Tetsuro uses his harmony, causing him to fall. Tetsuro goes to check on Colte, but he pins him to the wall and asks him what he did as it was awesome. He though his sub-brain got fried and got scared. Colte asks Tetsuro if he would like to help him with his job and Tetsuro realizing it will be something dangerous, asks him if he truly wants to do that and Colte says that he wants to do something for people who believe they have a future. Colte tells him the location and time and then leaves. Mary then shows up asking where Colte is, as the part he gave her is made by Victor, her big brother she was looking for.
Bromwell visits Juzo and offers a job for Juzo, to capture Saryshagan, a man linked to Spitzbergen.
